Our founder, Sarah, is the long director/private practice owner of DBT of Charleston – the first DBT Center in the Charleston, SC. area serving the area for 20 yrs. Sarah is also the first fully LBC-DBT Certified Clinician in Charleston and introduced DBT PE for C-PTSD to the community over a decade ago as (her consistently practiced) stage 2 of her DBT program.
As a dual licensed clinician (SC./NC.), Sarah will be sustaining her private practice clientele at DBT of Charleston, while expanding up to 2 private program slots to Asheville, NC. residents. Hurricane Helene highlighted the importance of wellness and survival support between our Carolinas sister cities of Charleston, SC. and Asheville, NC. during intense times of need. Clients of Sarah’s DBT + DBT PE + DYT private practice programs (stages 1-4) will have the opportunity to interact in classes together, empowering each other and our sister city connectivity through peak mental health advocacy endeavors.
Further, Sarah welcomes 3rd sister city (up to 2 condensed-duration program slots to assist progressive racial activism) for Minneapolis and surrounding nearby areas in MN.. Being a Minnesota native who has had 25 yrs. now of residence experience in Charleston SC. – Sarah feels delighted to create a trio mental health connection between the cities of Charleston, SC. (where up to 17-20+ program slots will be sustained), Asheville, NC. (opening 2 program slots), and Minneapolis/MN. cities (offering 2 condensed- 6 mnth services/annual program slots) (reflecting allotted service # max for out-of-state clinicians to serve Minnesotans online).
While Sarah, our founder, sustains up to 17-20+ service slots to her primary private practice at DBT Charleston in SC., she opens up 2 slots to both sister cities Asheville, NC. and Minneapolis (or nearby areas), MN. This trio sister city connection allows clients to interact in class and empower each other in our profound events in these cities historically, as well as from the past many years.
