One way of experiencing ‘Shakti’ (Sanskrit for Goddess, Creative Fullness) is to increase mindful reverence for vitality. Creative expression is another way and there all also many embodiments of the divine feminine that ‘Shiva’ (conscious awareness) may be mindful of- leading to interconnected states of balancing ‘being with doing’. Dialectically speaking, engaging in creative expression and reverence for the fullness of all that is alive and vital, is equally important as developing mindfulness. Shakti & Shiva are seen as opposites that are inseparable from each other.
“As a longer practitioner of all I offer professionally, long time DBT PE clinician + originally developed Dialectical Yoga Therapist (DYT) – I have found it important to engage in creative artistic expression to balance myself energetically in my life-work equilibrium. As a spiritual and sexual minority in the U.S., I practice numerous goddess embodiments that develop my character and enhance my vital-abundant mindfulness. It is a wise therapist who understands the delicate “embodied” balance of creative-artistic expression -with – mindfully holding space for one’s own and others’ challenging experiences & progressions.”
“Over time, I may share more of my personal creative developments via the button below. For now, I offer a link below to an excerpt on guidance of regulating Shaki for our mindfulness practices (& DBT Chas program grads “DYT” lifestyle practices) — from a non-dual classical shaivism tantrik-yoga educator, Hareesh Wallis, PhD of Indian Studies from UofC, Berkeley residing in Nepal.”
