Asheville, WNC: Hub of Innovation, Culture, & Expansion
Asheville’s PRIDE-based, culturally abundant, nature-feminine oriented spirituality, yogic and east-west arts reverent city is also a Southeastern arts center.
In recognition the stewards of this land are indigenous and have attempted to be eradicated by settler-colonial history – we respect and acknowledge that we are treating the people of Asheville on ancestral land of the Anikituwagi. We honor these root lands as that of the Anikituwagi, or what many now know as the Cherokee:
Three civic acknowledged Cherokee tribes are the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians, and the Cherokee Nation.
